Queens Park , Bournemouth - New Multi Play Unit and Play Fort Refurbishment (008155)

The play area is within the 149 acre Queen’s Park, next to café & clubhouse of the public golf course. The play area was closed off in stages last year as equipment, access ramps and steps and other structural elements failed. The project will replace play equipment and repair the play fort increasing its robustness and longevity, making the facility fully accessible in the natural setting, creating a space for all ages with an exciting and challenging range of equipment. Biodiversity enhancements using nest boxes, insect homes and areas of new tree/hedge planting creating a wildlife corridor are also included in the works.
