Queensberry Avenue Play Area Upgrade

This is a project to enhance Queensberry Avenue Play Area by upgrading aging and retired equipment to ensure inclusivity for diverse users.

Improvements include resurfacing for safety, better accessibility, and modern play structures for all. Equipment flagged in inspections for aging or wear will be replaced with durable, engaging options. The listed bee orchid at Queensberry Avenue will be protected with appropriate fencing to preserve this important species and biodiversity.

The project will replace aging equipment with modern, accessible alternatives, including sensory play features, wheelchair-friendly paths, and improved safety surfacing. Seating, entrances, and pathways will be designed for easy access by parents, caregivers, and older residents. By fostering social connections, encouraging outdoor activity, and ensuring accessibility for everyone, regardless of mobility or sensory need, creating more than just a play area. This will be a space where all generations, abilities, and backgrounds can come together, feel welcome, and enjoy their local environment.
