R Generation Social Centre Amenity

R Generation Social Amenity project is the first phase of an environmentally friendly and sympathetic approach to the improvement of the external amenity of the Social Centre building through its renovation and refurbishment, with as much of the original building being retained.
Phase 1 of project
Secure LCF funding
Submit revised quotations
Commence refurbishment of windows, doors, roofs and rainwater goods
Conclude external works by end of November 2025
Submit claim for LCF funding by end of December 2025.
Phase 2
Complete internal works to the building, when the balance for funding has been received, with the aim of being open to the public by the end of Spring 2026.
Ballymoney Evergreen has earmarked two periods per week during school term times to use the centre leaving a potential 64 hours per week available to individuals, groups and organisations within the borough to use the centre.
Results of a local survey indicated a number of organisations wished to undertake weekly bookings eg Judo club, MS Society, U3A History groups, Rotary club etc as well as others indicating coffee mornings, mental health workshops art classes.
