Railside Community Garden

We wish to create a community garden on a plot of vacant land owned by Network rail,
and have negotiated a 6 year lease. The garden will primarily be for the
use of the many local residents who have no access to gardens but will also act as a
focus for community activities including the Streatham Youth and Community trust and
will link the people of the wider neighbourhood currently separated by the road pattern
and the rail tracks.
Having just received and signed our lease for the site, we intend to start in June to carry out extensive enabling works to be ready for next January’s planting season.
