Railway Garden, Crofton Park, London – Sensory Garden (006194)

The projects aim is to deliver a sensory garden at the heart of Crofton Park Town Centre.

A creative garden design scheme will create four habitats, each focusing on a particular sense: an orchard with wildflower meadow (sense of colour – perfect for the bees to pollinate the fruit trees and for lifting the spirit of users socialising, picking fruit and passers-by); a grassland meadow (sense of sound – to promote quiet contemplation and relaxation); a forest garden (sense of touch and taste – for wildlife, foraging & a natural play space); an edible garden (sense of smell and taste – to feature useful and medicinal plant varieties).
