Re-roofing The Pavilion at Springhill Playingfields

The project is focused on vital renovations to the Rochdalians AFC pavilion at Springhill, specifically replacing the 25 year old roof, which is in severe disrepair. Serving a community ranked in the top 10% most deprived wards nationally, our facility offers a crucial space for physical activity, social interaction, and community building in an area facing low physical activity levels and heightened crime and antisocial behavior. The deteriorating roof risks the pavilion’s continued use, limiting our ability to deliver inclusive sports programmes that encourage healthy, positive lifestyles for both children and adults. This renovation will ensure the pavilion remains safe, accessible, and fit for purpose, supporting Rochdalians AFC’s mission to foster health, well-being, and community cohesion. Securing funding for this project is essential to enabling our club to maintain and expand its services, helping address pressing local health and social challenges through accessible sport and community support.
