Rea Catchment Improvement Project

Improvements to the habitat of the River Rea, with the aim of benefiting the migratory Atlantic Salmon. Habitat improvements include fencing to reduce poaching, installation of easements over four manmade dams (currenlty only the largest fish in the highest flows can pass), coppicing riparian woodland to reduce shading.
