Reach Parish Council

To construct a log cabin-style pavilion building at Reach cricket pitch (the 24 acre field), and install a water supply linked to the mains. The scheme does not include sanitary facilities, only drinking water supply. The cricket club at Reach is very active and the ground is hired on a regular basis by a local club without a ground whose membership is drawn from people of South Indian heritage from the Cambridge area. There are no facilities whatsoever at present. The building will also be used for occasional village events on the 24 acre field such as the village's annual apple day. The field is an area of archaeological interest within the scope of the National Trust's Wicken Fen strategic plan.
