Reaching Our Community with a Re-vamp

The haven is a group for children, young people and wider community. There is a core group of qualified workers and they support local volunteers to run the groups. These groups include play and stay, afterschool and holiday clubs, women’s group and places of welcome. The centre is also open in the day time to offer support to local residents who need help with CV writing, food bank vouchers and benefit support. Most of the activities are supported and run by volunteers and we have been running a youth volunteer program for many years where we train up older young people to support, lead and mentor the young ones.
