Rebuilding Biodiversity at WWT Martin Mere – Phase 2

Building on the Phase 1 of this project, we need to further survey and monitor the broader wildlife groups to understand the wider value of the site, to maintain and restore populations of important species to evaluate the potential for species reintroduction and to carry out introductions where ecologically feasible, followed by essential monitoring. Phase 2 of the project will develop a local flora and fauna management plan in accordance with the UK BAP and local BAP priorities so that species and habitats can be maintained and enhanced in the future.
