Rebuilding of Wharf

Rebuilding of mooring / wharf on the River Gade adjacent to the Grand Union Canal lock No: 73 to enable safe access for people and particularly people in wheel chairs etc. to gain access to wharf and board our narrowboat particularly our new specially designed narrowboat.

The project is to steel inter link shutter the bank about (100 ft), dig out old rotten rail sleepers and concrete – back tie shuttering. This includes a winding hole / turning point. Then back fill and finish in concrete. Also 15 ft of wooden jetty for access to natural bank for a second mooring. Also install two hook up points with power, water and light. Plus and most importantly provide a safe slope for wheel chairs access from car park to mooring / wharf
