Recipe for Success – Establishing Hubs Grub

Know How North East’s Community Hub, is the only resource available to residents of Port Clarence and houses a Post Office, Convenience Store – (both established and operated through our trading arm ‘Austerity Limited) – Health Centre, Crèche, IT Suite, space for a community cafe and training facilities. It is at the heart of the community providing valuable services to such an isolated community. KHNE’s initial goal to establish Hub and the charities trading arm (Austerity), has been achieved with two of the main enterprise’s established (Shop and Post Office); what remains to be developed is the onsite Community Café which requires investment to complete essential remedial works as well as install new equipment.Integral to the Hubs success the completion of this work will enable us to open up the Hubs third onsite enterprise enabling us to further diversify our income streams and ensure the sustainability of the Hub for residents of Port Clarence.
