Reconstruction of rescued historic buildings, using heritage building techniques, at the Museum’s site to create two units -Hall Street buildings and the Oldbury buildings. Once built these will form eight new displays/ exhibits set in a new timeframe – the 1930’s. The new high street will include: Patrick’s Butchers; Hobb’s Fried Fish Shop, Minett’s Milliners; Solicitor’s and Building Society agency; Cradley Heath Motorcycle Dealers; Preddy’s Tobacconist’s; and Gripton’s Wireless. Each one will help tell new stories about the history of the Black Country, its people and their way of life.
