Recreation Ground Centenary Project, Angus Buchanan VC Recreation Ground Trust, Coleford, Glos

The project is to celebrate the Centenary of the establishment in 1923 of a Recreation Ground to honour the bravery of Captain Buchanan in WW1. The project is intended to: 1) refurbish the fine gated entrance that was opened by the Duke & Duchess of Beaufort; 2) provide a RoSPA-Approved fence to increase safety for children using the Children’s Playground; and 3) provide a soft-surfaced parking area to take pressure off ancient trees with Tree Preservation Orders on them.
