Rectory Farm, Cranfield - Hedge Renovation

The project will involve: Laying, coppicing and gapping-up 2 sections of ancient species-rich hedgerow (totalling 400m), unmanaged for a number of years. Planting some 400 local provenance trees during the gapping-up works. These will comprise blackthorn, hawthorn, guilder rose, field maple, dogwood and spindle. Oak and ash will be kept as hedgerow trees. Using waste materials to create habitat piles in nearby woodland.
