Rectory Wood (Phase 4)

Phase 4 will see the delivery of a further 16.5ha of new native commuity woodland, planting over 27,844 native trees and shrubs (e.g. oak, ash, field maple, birch and hazel ) grown from seed collected from local ancient woodlands. The project will deliver key landscape and biodiversity benefits, acting as a buffer for the remaining areas of ancient semi natural woodland as well as helping to mitigate the long standing landscape and environmental impact of the recently closed Brogborough Landfill site. It will also provide a large area of publicly accessible natural greenspace for existing and future residents to enjoy.
