Red Lion House, Burton-upon-Trent - Community Centre Refurbishment (006354)

This project is in Horninglow, a relatively deprived area with little community provision, on the northern edge of Burton upon Trent. Red Lion House Community Centre is to be created by transforming and extending a redundant public house, The Red Lion, that was built in 1845. The strategic vision for the Red Lion House Charity is to create a hub for the community, that will offer space and facilities to encourage a range of social and professional services to come into the area and become a base for the community’s own activities and events. A wide range of groups will be able to use the venue for social functions and voluntary events.
