Red Moss of Balerno – Access For All

Red Moss is an important and rare habitat with a high frequency of visits, so having replaced the first section of boardwalk and installed a dipping platform it is important that the remaining section is also upgraded. Construct a new boardwalk to the same specification as the boardwalk constructed in 2010. This will create a circular route that is wheelchair accessible along its entire lerigth. The 2 new panels will be installed on the route of the proposed boardwalk replacement and will provide visitor-friendly information on peatland ecology.
