Red Squirrel Conservation in Dumfries & Galloway

The project has the following aims: *Eradicate squirrelpox from Dumfries & Galloway - and from the Queensbury Estate (the most serious outbreak) in particular. * Continue to work to establish a grey squirrel control zone in Dumfries & Galloway. * Test red squirrel carcasses to confirm squirrelpox eradication. * Train volunteers and estate staff in effective red squirrel conservation and grey squirrel control techniques.
