Redbridge Wharf Park , Southampton

The RWP Improvement project focuses on improving facilities for young people with the aim to reduce anti-social behaviour. The improvements include: a BMX track made from some reclaimed materials (with second inner track for younger bikers), zip-wire and a street-art project on the entrance bridge to the park. The RWP Improvement Project will also include a piece of play equipment for younger children and wildlife interpretation boards around the park to ensure other members of the community are not excluded in the improvements.

A core feature of the project is the involvement of the young people so they gain a sense of ownership over the improvement works.
