Redevelopment of Hargher Clough Recreation Ground – Phase 1 – Toddler Area, Ball Court and Youth Shelter

This is phase 1 of a multiple phase project. The overall aim of phase 1 is to make the existing site which is derelict, under used and neglected into a multifunctional space where a wide range of local people can rest and engage in positive play and sport activities.

We will improve three areas to the site which will cater for toddlers, parents and young people.

1. The proposed toddler area

2. The proposed multi use games area

3. Through consultation it was also deemed to be a high priority to provide a seating area in the vicinity of the multi-use games area. The seating area will be a youth shelter and will allow children and young people to rest and engage with one another whilst having the option to take part in sporting activities.
