Redevelopment of Worship Space for Church and Community Use

We want to transform the worship area to recreate the quality and attractiveness that the original had in its day. Trinity URC is in a prime location on the main road, opposite a park, next to a car park, and near the station and university, where our minister is a chaplain. Our vision aims to capitalize on this strategic location. We want our building to be visibly seen as a living, vibrant place, relevant to people's needs. Key Outcomes A flexible, welcoming, contemporary multi- purpose space Space for new church-led initiatives in response to community needs The opportunity to host appropriate community events Extra income to be ploughed back into the project Currently this part of our building is unwelcoming, with an ancient heating system (which it is essential we replace), inflexible fixed seating, and used for only a few hours on Sundays. With careful re-ordering it could be a living, vibrant place in daily use. This work is essential for responsible stewardship of our building heritage.
