Redland Club Energy Efficient Windows, Redland Club Community Centre CIC, Bristol

This is a project to further improve the energy efficiency Redland Club Community Centre by installation of energy efficient double-glazed windows.

The building is a 1960’s structure with unique architectural features. Existing windows are set in timber framework, a combination of single glazed fixed panels and sliding sashes, (63 panes). The aim is to find the best option to achieve double glazing and preserve the exterior features. Options include reglazing individual panels; removal of existing sections and replacement with either UPVC or aluminium; introduction of secondary glazing. The intended outcomes are: Improved windows that contribute to energy efficiency; reduced heating costs and reduction in C02 emissions.
