Reducing Carbon Footprint, Lydney Tennis Club, Glos

The aim of the project is to reduce the carbon footprint of Lydney Tennis Club.

The current floodlights are now due for replacing due to their age and cost of replacement bulbs and fittings. With this in mind the club committee has looked at its operation and how it can go greener and protect the planet with small adjustments. The proposal is to replace the current halogen lights with LED and install solar panels to store energy and reduce the club’s consumption of unsustainable resources. In addition it aims to upgrade the number padlock entry system to an automated pad system to make access more simple for users of the courts.
