Projects / Refurbishing Daisy Hill’s Community Hub

Refurbishing Daisy Hill’s Community Hub

Funding will be used for joinery (suspended ceilings, internal doors, double doors to rear, all rigid seating tops and sides removed/cladded and edged, external benches), brickwork (window to dance floor blocked up/rendered, brick slips to create pillar effect), decoration (walls stripped, lining paper, paint), plumbing (radiators, sink, pipework), fixed seating (repairs and re upholstery), and flooring (removal, sub-floor repairs, vinyl and carpet fitted). Current flooring and furniture is disheveled with fibers/material fraying and damaged with stains which are an eye sore and not aesthetically pleasing. The walls/ceilings and decor is dated, damaged, and uninviting (in some cases dangerous, i.e. hole in roof and exposed wood chip) currently. New flooring will be safer underfoot and pose less of a slip risk. This project will make the clubhouse more welcoming and comfortable while being easier to maintain, ensuring the longevity of our space as a community asset.
