Refurbishing our Village’s Tennis Court Amenity in East Clandon

The East Clandon village tennis court needs to have its surface repainted and sealed with a binder to prevent algae & mosses from growing and thus making the tennis court surface much safer and better for players. The cost of this exc. VAT is £2180. It’s surface is over 12 years old and is now heavily pitted and has a lot of shade cast over it from our lovely trees. This means the surface attracts & grows mosses & algae, making it hazardous & slippery and the result is that we have to jet-clean the surface 3 times annually and apply algicide/ biocides to it (not environmentally friendly!) every time it is jet-cleaned.This court is a wonderful public amenity for all our villagers and also by subscription to neighbouring villages.
