Refurbishment of All Saints’ Parish Hall – toilets, windows and damp-proof course installation

The building has various areas of damp – particularly in the toilet area. This makes this part of the building cold in winter months, and the plasterwork and decorations require frequent renewal as the damp causes the plasterwork to fall off the walls in places. The defective plasterwork detracts from the environment for community groups. The front windows of the building are timber framed and suffer from are rot. We wish to replace them with safer, maintenance free double glazed units. The toilets and sanitary-ware in the current building are in poor condition and relatively unpleasant. The taps are not all push types, and the toilets are full flush only. In order to install the damp-proof course we would need to remove all of the sanitary ware anyway, so we would plan to renew the sanitary-ware at the same time as part of the same project.
