Refurbishment of Community Centre, Trinity Methodist Church, Westcliff-On-Sea, Essex

This project is the refurbishment of the Community Centre. ECT is being approached to fund the upgrading of the electrics, installing LED lighting, and automatic switches.

Trinity Methodist Church hosts Trinity Family Centre, which was started in 1999 by church members following the major refurbishment of the building, now used as a community centre. Over 11,000 people have used the facilities in the past 25 years, and the premises are in need of refurbishment. Upgrading the electrical installation will also improve energy efficiency. Installing LED lights throughout the building, including converting the ten sulphur light fittings in the church to LED, plus automatic switches in the toilets and corridors, will reduce energy costs and increase sustainability.

The upgrade of facilities will improve and maintain the building as a public amenity and ensure that the organisation can continue to provide a range of services to the local community. Improved energy efficiency will reduce costs and increase sustainability. Trinity Family Centre aims to improve the quality of life for people of all ages, cultures and disabilities, in an area of high deprivation, reduce social isolation, and build a stronger sense of community by providing affordable facilities for recreation and physical activity, empowering personal and social development within a safe, secure, friendly environment.
