Refurbishment of interior and maintenance of St. John’s, Charfield church building

We need to carry out essential repairs to exterior of grade 2 listed parish church building that is open every day to all comers and is a local landmark being at the centre of village life because of its position opposite the primary school on the main road through the village. These repairs will keep it looking good and prevent serious damage to the fabric so saving more extensive, more costly work being needed in the future.
We also want to carry out refurbishment of interior to provide much enhanced café style facility for social meetings that take place midweek and on Sundays, a bigger welcoming area, a dedicated children’s activity area and another area for the display of information and for sale of local crafts and fair-trade goods.
