Refurbishment of Preston Pond

Refurbish comprehensively the stagnant and silted-up Preston Village pond, removing the dying willows and single Ash tree on the north bank, tidying up the willows and scrub on the south bank to allow the sun to strike the surface of the pond, removing an ivy bush on the west bank, and sewing grass seed on the area between the pond and the horse chestnut tree. Erect a traditional village sign. The overall objective is to create a vibrant pond landscape which will be home to wildlife and is attractive to those people who drive past.
