Refurbishment of roof and upgrade of electrics for Welton Scouts & Guides

The aim of the project is to secure the safety of the roof of the building and to bring the electrics up to date by having the building completely rewired. The Scout & Guide hut is of wooden construction and has been there for the past 30 years. The building is sound but the roof is in need of being refurbished. The roof has some slight sagging in places and on advice from a structural engineer the committee have had a survey carried out on the state of the roof. The result of this survey being that the applicant has to have some structural work carried out internally to strengthen several of the roof trusses prior to carrying out the external work.
