Refurbishment of Ruabon Garden of Rest, Ruabon Community Council, Johnstown, Wrexham

This is a project to make environmental improvements to the Ruabon Garden of Rest. Ruabon Community Council has maintained the garden mainly by regular grass cutting and carrying out repairs to the boundary stone walls and footpaths within the boundary. However, over the years time has slowly taken its toll and it is now in need of more substantial and detailed attention. If successful the grant would enable works to be carried out which would prevent the garden from falling into further disrepair and brought back to a more pleasant appearance for the enjoyment of the people of Ruabon. The necessary works include: Repair and refurbishment of the old boundary stone walls; repair and relay the footpaths within the garden; repair and refurbish the iron gates to the garden; survey and carry out any necessary lopping of the trees within the garden; provide extra flower and shrubbery areas and general landscape improvements to the garden.
