Projects / Refurbishment of Seaton Memorial Clock

Refurbishment of Seaton Memorial Clock

The villages of Seaton and Thorpe by Water in Rutland have planned a series of projects to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. The first of these is to renovate the face of the memorial clock on the west face of All Hallows Church, Seaton which was installed in 1919 to commemorate the sacrifice of those local parishioners that died in the war.

The aim of the project is therefore to complete these works in time to commemorate the centenary of the start of the First World War on 4 August 2014 so that the Tower Clock can remain a fitting memorial to the bravery and selfless sacrifice of the previous parishioners who gave their lives .
