Refurbishment of the Jubilee Community Centre

The purpose of the Jubilee Community Centre will be to provide a place where the local community can meet for social, recreational and educational purposes and provide a venue for general community activities and to build social capital. We know that there are vulnerable groups in the area who face challenges due to access deprivation – in particular these are the elderly, the young and families with young children. By providing a refurbished welcoming and fit for purpose facility the project aims to provide a platform for our community to increase local opportunities, activities and services that better meet their needs. A SITA Trust grant will enable us to fully engage with this local support to improve the quality of life and chances for all sections in the community fostering inclusion, cohesion, and ensuring that the needs of our vulnerable are met.
