Refurbishment of The Mount – Phase 1

There are two parts to the project to refurbish our hall:
1) to address the imminent need for repairs to the building, which is experiencing subsidence and at risk of collapse (this application);
2) as we have learned about the building, how people use it, and what the community need, we need to adapt the facilities to improve how people move around the building, and in particular to link the indoor area with the community garden, which is what separates us from other facilities in the area.

The funding requested is to contribute towards Phase 1 of our refurbishment. This work is the most urgent, and is focussed on the annex to the building which is experiencing subsidence and separating from the main building. The annex is currently used as the main entrance foyer, kitchen and store room.
