Refurbishment of the Priory Gate Play Area

The removal of the existing old play equipment (multi-unit and swing set) that has reached the end of its lifespan, old worn unfit safer surfacing tiles and an unused litter bin. Relocation of existing bench. Ground preparation works will be undertaken and new Wetpour Safer Surfacing will be installed including a hopscotch and other graphics within the surfacing. A new Castle Gatehouse multi-unit, cradle and flat seat swing set, spinner bowl, horse springer and 2 play panels (Hello Sign Language and Tile Slide Frog Play) will be purchased and installed. All the equipment is suitable for children up to 8 years old, with the pieces chosen to be inclusive and accessible to all. The project also includes the improvement of the soft landscaping of the open space immediately adjacent to the play area, including the removal of tree stumps, scrub and reinstating to grass to increase the area for informal play.
