Projects / Refurbishment of Willersey Methodist Church and hall for the continual and increasing use of the community.

Refurbishment of Willersey Methodist Church and hall for the continual and increasing use of the community.

Our aim is to make the church hall into a lighter (through use of a sun pipe), warmer (installing insulation, lowering ceilings, double doors, double glazing/secondary glazing) and hygienic facility; including a modern kitchen with suitable surfaces, flooring etc and a toilet for disabled people.
When this is completed the building will be available for more uses for the community and for visitors. Already we cater for the elderly with lunches every month and a community coffee morning weekly, we hope to extend this. We believe small groups of elderly, disabled, scouts, guides, youth groups etc will enjoy the opportunity of using the hall as a base for day trips. The hall has a small garden at the rear which is private and quiet for discussions, games, study etc
The North Cotswold U3A are already planning for a croquet club in the garden!
