Regional Centre for Disability Sport

A regional centre for disability sport with a focus on young people with more complex special needs. The complete project comprises an extended hall and large storage area, fitness suite, cafeteria and dry changing facilities (the latter forms the basis for this grant application). Sport England, is providing a three-year grant to fund a full-time Disability Sport Outreach Officer. The total cost of the project is £370,000 of which £248,000 has already been secured. The charity (the campus id open 365 days a year) already hosts disability sports events including a Childrens Able & Disabled Sports week each summer holiday and Paralympic Roadshows
