Reinstatement of Nutfield Memorial Hall

The trustees are raising funds for the reinstatement of the Nutfield Memorial Hall which was burnt down in 2007. The insurance money received was not sufficient to immediately rebuild and the trustees have sought to raise the extra money required. Planning has been agreed for the new building and when enough money has been raised the trustees will oversee the construction of the new building.
The Nutfield Memorial Hall has always provided a focal point for the village and was used by many local organisations, such as the adult and youth football teams, the WI and RBL, and the church of St Peter and St Paul, which does not have a church hall. It was also used regularly as a polling station by Tandridge District Council and booked by many individual one-off users for private functions. All these parties have indicated that they will seek to re-establish use at the new premises.
