Renovating and Upgrading Facilities, The United Church, Lye, Stourbridge

This is a project for the refurbishment and renovation works to The United Church in Lye, near Stourbridge.

The works are aimed at making the facilities more cost effective to run, by increasing thermal performance and reducing the carbon footprint. They entail: insulation and recovering of the roof; provision of external rainwater down pipes (to replace internal rainwater down pipes); insulation of cavity walls; replacement of passenger lift; replacement of an old boiler with two boilers, which will power two heating systems covering the ground floor and cellar and the first floor – this will enable more flexible and economic heating of the building; extension of the heating system to parts of the building that are not currently connected; the formation of a disabled WC on the first floor to enable used of the first floor to be extended to other groups.
