Renovation of tennis courts on Thorpe Green

This project seeks funding to repair and reinstate the tennis courts on Thorpe Green, Thorpe, Surrey.

Although very well used by local residents in the past the two tennis courts on Thorpe Green have now deteriorated to such an extent that they are no longer fit for purpose, the playing surface is uneven and fencing in urgent need of replacement.

Specifically funding is sought for the following works:-
. installation of chain link fencing to the perimeter of the courts
. surface cleaning
. surface painting and remarking

Undertaking the proposed work will revitalise this previously very popular pubic amenity for all in the local community and help promote community participation in the amateur sport of tennis. There is strong community support for the scheme.
