Repair and Conservation to the Three South Nave Windows in St. Lawrence Church, Morden, Surrey

This project is to carry out repairs to the stonework of the three South Nave windows at St Lawrence Church. The condition of the stonework around the three South Nave windows has deteriorated to an extent where remedial action is required to prevent further deterioration and to preserve the remaining stonework. At the same time as carrying out repairs to the stonework, repairs will be undertaken to the glass windows. Two of the South Nave windows are of plain leaded lights, the age of the glass is not known but is believed to date back to at least the 1800s. The third South Nave window contains stained glass depicting Abraham and Sarah dating back to the mid 19th century. All of the windows are bowing and have a number of cracks as well as some missing pieces and requires the lead work to be renewed. These repairs will prevent further deterioration and loss of the glass.
