Repair of Chancel Roof and Gutters

Repairs to the failing Chancel roof and gutters and associated works. A heritage building conservation-led scheme to halt rainwater ingress into a listed place of worship, designed to preserve its character and historic significance. The works are essential to protect the fabric and fittings. The works are regarded by the church architect as urgent and pressing and are categorised as status A, immediate. The Chancel roof and gutters are leaking and failure to carry out repairs will lead to further damage. Repairs will be like-for-like, retaining as much of the original material as possible, only replacing the original material if it has reached the end of its useful life or cannot be economically repaired. A five month programme is expected. High level scaffolding and roof protection will be required. All works are needed now and costs would increase if the work is split.
