Repair of roof at Holy Trinity Church, Watermoor. Grade II* Listed

Re-covering of the stone slate coverings to both slopes of the nave and chancel roof, necessitated by the shaling and disintegration of inferior stone tiles installed in the 1960s. Attempts in the 70s and 80s to amend the work done then has made things worse as cement mortar was used to fix the tiles in large areas. The introduction of this hard cement with friable stone has resulted in bad crumbling with regular stone falls, and the potential for large areas of tiles to slip in bad weather.
