Repair of Roofs at Congresbury War Memorial Hall

Due to years when there has been a limited amount of money available for improvements there are sections of the roof that are in urgent need of repair. Without these problems being sorted the knock on effect of water coming through the ceiling will have a detrimental effect on any improvements undertaken on the inside of the building.

The specific areas that need attention are the flat roof over the ladies toilet, main kitchen and stage side room, gullies between the pitched roof of the main hall, the flat roof on the skittle alley and a major gully over the social club area. All of these let water in during periods of rainfall.

The flat roofs need to be totally replaced; the gullies on the main hall and social club require re-felting, new batons and new tiles.

It s hoped that once the roof is repaired we can re-decorate the main hall and social club.
