Repairs to the Community Library Roof, Brockworth Link, Glos

The project is to repair the flat surface of the library building roof. In 2021 the hub was completely refurbished inside; at that point the charity was unaware that the roof would need significant repair. The repairs have been confirmed by a structural engineer who was employed to prepare a report on the viability of solar panels being fitted to improve on carbon footprint and to reduce costs to the charity. The majority of the roof is flat and needs to be repaired with suitable long-lasting materials to prevent leaks in the future. The building has around 16,000 visits per year and is situated in an area of high build, including social and affordable housing. Users of the library are Baby Bounce and Rhyme, Knit and Natter, Book Club, Afternoon Tea Club, language classes such as French, Italian and Spanish, walking clubs, and more.
