Replacement Flagpole at St Peter’s Church, Chertsey

This project seeks funding to replace the flagpole and refurbish the weathervane on the tower of St Peter’s Church, Chertsey. The tower has supported a flagpole and weathervane for over 250 years and they represent an important part of the town’s heritage. However, the existing wooden flagpole is now so rotten it is unsafe and the weathervane in need of urgent refurbishment. The pole additionally supports a lightning conductor protecting this Grade 11 listed Church.

The new pole will be made from durable stainless steel requiring minimal maintenance.
