Replacement Meeting Room, Snitterfield Village Hall

The village hall was gifted to the community in 1931. In the mid 1950’s a wooden storeroom and a wooden meeting room were added. By 2015, these had deteriorated such that they were no longer fit for purpose. The hall interior needed refurbishing. Plans were developed and the whole community was consulted through questionnaires and open days.
Thanks to previous generous grants and local support, we have been able to reach a halfway point with the overall project. The existing toilets were renovated in 2018 and new storerooms were completed in 2019. The main hall has been redecorated and the floor sanded and varnished. A new annex, which houses the toilet for disabled people, was finished in April 2021. The kitchen was renovated in 2022.
We now need to build the new backstage meeting room. It is needed for small groups to socialise, as changing rooms for theatre performances and for offsite business meetings. There will be a separate wheel chair entrance, a kitchenette and direct toilet access.
