Replacement of Play Area Railings and Gates at Lucy Lane South, Stanway Parish Council

This is a project to replace the gates and railings at the Lucy Lane South Play Area.

Stanway Parish Council is responsible for maintaining safe, accessible, and welcoming community spaces for residents of all ages. The play area is heavily used by local families, schools, and childminders, and forms a vital part of the council’s commitment to children’s wellbeing, outdoor activity and community cohesion. The current gates and railings are deteriorating and no longer meet current safety standards. The replacements will significantly improve child safety, accessibility, and the overall usability of the space.

The project will benefit local families and children; nearby schools and nurseries who use the play area for outdoor learning; childminders and carers, along with the wider Stanway Community. Improved safety and accessibility will encourage more frequent use, support children’s physical and social development and strengthen community wellbeing.
