Replacement of Roof of Hub 1 – Hartlepower Community Anchor, Hartlepower Community Trust, Teesside

This is a project to replace the roof at Hub 1, a community building run by Hartlepower Community Trust (HCT).

This refurbishment will include insulation to reduce heating costs, control the carbon footprint of the centre, and reduce negative environmental impacts. Hub 1 offers a community café, training events, social care prescribing and home care schemes, along with hairdressing, counselling, welfare benefits, and advice services.

HCT also offers affordable room and conference facility hire with free wifi, social media promotion and reception facilities. Residing in the former Camerons Brewery buildings and site, HCT is home to 20 organisations – charities, social enterprises and businesses which address poverty, offer safe and inexpensive space, and represents clients at tribunals and works with the Home Office to address the needs of asylum seekers and refugees in Hartlepool and beyond.

Works will include strip-out of existing roof coverings, replacing all ridge tiles, membrane, down comers, guttering and insulation.
